Privacy policy

Only what the app needs to work.

• Your account: email address, username and a password (encrypted using Better Auth).
• What you make: boards, posts, comments and your profile. So that other users can discover you.
• Basic technical data: app version, device type and crash reports, since the app is still in beta.

To run 3by3: show your boards to the people you choose, send the notifications you turn on, and fix bugs. Not much else to do. It's meant to be a simple app to not addict you.

• Sell your data.
• Share it with advertisers or data brokers. I hate them.
• Feed your boards or posts into AI systems. I hate this modern trend too.
• Build an algorithmic feed from what you do. You see the people you follow. Algorithms are a blight on society.

Your boards and posts are visible according to your settings. When you share a board, post or profile as an image, it shows what is on the card and a link, nothing more.

If you join the iOS waitlist, we keep only your email address. We use it once, to tell you when iOS is ready, and then delete it. We never sell or distribute it.

AWS US-East-1, in N. Virginia. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Planning to relocate the servers to EU soon.

You can see, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Delete your account in the app, or write to hello@3by3.app. Deletion is complete within a few days.

3by3 is generally not meant for anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, write to us.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. The date above always shows the latest version.
